A beginner or inexperienced player can have great difficulty selecting
a new instrument as differences between available models are not always
immediately apparent to them or their parents. In overview, beginning
string players require an instrument that possesses a pleasing tone, a
balanced response and a contrast in dynamic range. It is also crucially
important to instil confidence early in a relative beginner by ensuring he
or she has a professionally set-up instrument that is 'playable' e.g. has
appropriate string length, height and tension, and can be easily tuned. A
poorly set-up instrument can cause lasting frustration to an inexperienced
player.
Our Corelli Grade violins have a sophisticated dark brown matt finish.
The top is solid spruce with a prominent medium-width grain which has
been subtly 'antiqued' to resemble an instrument of yesteryear. The back
is maple; the fingerboard and pegs are ebony. Corelli violins are set-up
with authentic German-made Wittner tailpieces with built-in adjusters for maximum ease
of tuning. They are also fitted with premium Italian-made Dogal steel
strings, for maximum durability, projection and warmth of tone. With a
functional yet light-weight case and brazilwood bow included at no extra
cost, this appealing violin represents outstanding value at just $375.00.
